Jiu-Jitsu athletes spend hours per week rolling in apparel made entirely from plastic (polyester) marketed as a performance fabric. The only area it really performs is on a company's balance sheet. 🤑
Polyester overheats fast, cools slow, traps sweat, holds odor, and creates the perfect environment for bacteria. It’s the worst possible material for a close-contact sport, yet it became the standard.
And then there are the studies, such as an experiment to see if Wearing Polyester is an Effective Contraceptive for Men .
